Kids love animated gifs. Ok most adults too.

One of the things I’ve learned over the years from presenting to audiences is that everyone loves a funny image or video. Often times they are used to emphasize a point but other times I incorporate them just for a bit of humor. After all, you don’t always expect an astronaut eating floating food in the middle of a technical lecture! I’ve found that kids in particular get very excited when you include a small video or moving gifs.  So if you have a group of kids that you are trying to engage, why not include an animated gif? NASA actually has an entire page of animated gifs at https://giphy.com/nasa. Besides floating foods you can find simple animations of missions, the movement of new space fabrics and even excited engineers. Give them a try when you need a bit of a humor pick me up!
